Today in Vienna visited kunthalle museum, had some sort of weird space theme art exhibition. Not my favourite, then walked along the ring road. Walked past the opera house, the town hall (appropriately named rathaus), the parliament, and 2 awesome museums, very lovely looking buildings. Vienna is a very pretty city, I like it a lot. No large towers, all buildings are only only 5 or 6 stories high. Visited sigmund Freud museum, very cool. Went to a dodgy market, got followed by a weirdo, so escaped by train to the centre of town. Visited st Stephens cathedral, an awesome baroque spectacle! Saw the front of the house where Mozart lived, looks like every other bloody house. Too much walking... Walking walking walking... Back to hostel for beers with my Brazilian friend, iPad translator app very handy!!

Too much beer = late start. Went to the schonbrunn palace, it was simply the most amazing place I have ever seen, I say that a lot at the moment!!
Took the interior tour, it would be nice to have a royal palace to live in! But it was nothing compared to the gardens and fountains in the palace grounds. Brought a tear to my eye. I loved it so much, walked around there for 2 hours. Saw a squirrel for the first time! And two pigeons "making love"... It was a romantic place. Had authentic apple strudel and cream, amazing! Went to the leopold museum and was very impressed. Exhibition of Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt which was terrific! Hired a bike for 1 euro and rolled around town, rode over to the fun fair which was pretty cool, a nice change from all the museums and buildings. Sat down and had my apple under a tree in a beautiful park, very relaxed.
